Our Model

CKL programs follow a three-part model:

• Provide opportunities for hands-on interdisciplinary learning through the project method to build reading, math and critical thinking skills
• Sensitize teachers to recognize and incorporate preferred learning styles
  to build student confidence and capability
• Offer experiential enrichment activities to connect education to real world applications and provide students opportunities to find their passions

CKL programs recognize the value of diversity - in backgrounds, experiences and learning styles. At the same time, we do have some absolutes.

Our Absolutes

• As uniquely gifted individuals, all children deserve to be treated with dignity and respect. Therefore, we conduct our programs in accordance with a strict code of conduct, not only between adults and children, but between children.
• Achievement builds confidence. Therefore all of our students are praised for their daily work and behavioral accomplishments.
• People learn best – in school and in life - when they set a goal and achieve it. Therefore all CKL classes are really projects with a goal to which students aspire.
